Endlich kann ich mal wieder etwas fertiges vorweisen: meine Baske ist nach fast einem halben Jahr endlich fertig. Dass ich so lange gebraucht habe, liegt nicht wirklich an der Baske, oder dass ich sooo langsam häkle, ich habe nur einfach irgendwann das Ganze in eine Ecke gelegt und das war es dann. Letztendlich brauchte sie nur noch einen Abend häkeln und ein bisschen Verstopfen der Garnenden und dann war sie fertig! Der Umschlagrand, steht eigenartigerweise nach außen, wenn die Baske nicht auf dem Kopf ist. Er legt sich aber super nach inne, wenn ich sie trage. Ich bin wirklich zufrieden damit und überlege schon mir noch eine in Himbeerpink zu häkeln. Ja, ich mag Prince, aber noch viel mehr mag ich Basken und Himbeerpink. 
Meine Strickjacke trocknet übrigens grad auf der Schneiderpuppe und braucht dann nur noch Knöpfe, um hier nächsten Freitag ihren großen Auftritt zu haben.

Yes, I’ve finally finished something again. Yesterday evening I weaved in the ends and if it wasn’t too warm and humid at the moment I could finally wear it: my new beret. I crochet it using a pattern from the Needlecraft book from 1978 that I have been showing you pictures from over the last couple of weeks. I started the beret back in january so it almost took me an incredible time of half a year from start to finish! Ok, I haven’t worked on it for months until I picked it up again last week and then it was done in an evening. Oh well, this is how it goes. The facing is folded inwards when wearing the beret. It really works even though it sticks out when it’s not worn. I really like the outcome and would love to make another one in raspberry. I’ve been wanting a raspberry beret for ages. I blame it only partly on the song by Prince. I also happen to love berets and the colour raspberry… In fact I made a felted beret in 2009 to test the pattern with making a raspberry one later.
