Überraschung! Ich habe etwas genäht. Zwar nicht ganz von null, aber immerhin. Vor ein paar Wochen habe ich von meiner Mama einen Ihrer alten Röcke bekommen. Ich schätze mal das gute Stück ist ca. 25 Jahre alt. Der Rock ist aus Baumwolle mit gutem Stand, die Farbe ist ein helles Blaugrün, er hat geräumigen Taschen, ist taillenhoch und hat schicke Falten – ist also praktisch wieder modern, wenn nicht die Länge gewesen wäre: wadenlang. Mit Absätzen kein Problem. Aber im Sommer trage ich lieber flache Schuhe und eine legere, moderne Länge ist das nun wirklich nicht. Also musste was ab und am letzten Wochenende bin ich endlich mal dazu gekommen. Der Rock ist jetzt ca. 15 cm kürzer als vorher und ich habe ihn seit seiner Fertigstellung am Sonntag schon an 3 der 4 vergangenen Tage getragen. Ein voller Erfolg also. 
Surprise! I have a sewn finished object to share today. I didn’t sew anything from scratch, but at least I refashioned something and now have a skirt more in my wardrobe. Some weeks ago my mum gave me one of her old skirts. I guess it’s about 25 years old. The skirt is made from cotton and has a nice fullness and body, it’s a light blue-greenish hue, has roomy pockets, a high waist and adorable pleats – very cute and up to date – if it wasn’t for the mid-calf length. That made it only wearble with heels and a lot of styling, I felt. So I opted for a more modern and casual length and chopped off a good bit last weekend. It’s now about 15 cm / 6″ shorter and much easier to style. I’ve been wearing it on 3 out of 4 days this week. So I’m happily declaring it a full success!
